Jul 14, 2023 · Remove the oil filter with your oil filter wrench. Replace the oil filter with a new one after applying oil to the new filter gasket. With a high-flash point solvent, clean the oil filter guard and surrounding area of any excess oil. Tighten the filter with your oil filter wrench. Pour in the 10W-40 motor oil.

Jun 26, 2010 · well my kawasaki dealer that sold the bike new to me said I had to run kawaski oil for that bike. I took it with a grain of salt and I am at 42,000 miles, using nothing but castrol gtx 10w40. every 3000 miles, oil and filter change bought at wally world. I use the super=tech brand filter # 7317.

Change it every 3000 miles, now have 108,000 miles on it. This is what works for me, Have used Bosch or Fram filters for the last 6 years. Like I said, this works for me. 2005 800 classic.
